Jason Welle

Dr. Jason Welle is Assistant Professor of Comparative Theology at Boston College. His research interests include Islamic mysticism, Muslim-Christian relations, particularly in the Middle Ages, and the Franciscan Intellectual Tradition. He holds a Ph.D. from Georgetown University and masters degrees from the Catholic Theological Union and the University of Notre Dame. He has authored more than a dozen journal articles or book chapters and the monograph Companionship and Virtue in Classical Sufism: The Contribution of al-Sulamī (I.B. Tauris, 2024).
